How to choose the right PSA nitrogen generator

The specification of a PSA nitrogen generator is based essentially on two factors: the required purity of the nitrogen and the required volume of nitrogen. The requirements vary considerably depending on the application – which may for instance be that of food packaging, laser cutting, or provision of an inert atmosphere.

As the purity requirement increases, so the volume of nitrogen that can be supplied decreases. For this reason, the required purity of nitrogen (%) and the required volumetric flow rate (volume flow rate, Nm³/h) should always be considered together. The following table shows the effective nitrogen output of the various INMATEC PSA nitrogen generators as a function of the required purity of the nitrogen.
